The Challenge of Pope Francis to the Church in Ireland

Ahead of World Meeting of Families 2018, we are delighted to welcome U.S. journalist, John L Allen Jnr, to the Derry Diocese, on Friday 17 August, where he will talk on ‘The Challenge of Pope Francis to the Church in Ireland,’ reflecting on the recent writings of the Holy Father. This event will take place in St Mary’s College, Northland Road , Derry at 7.30pm, and you are warmly invited to attend. Admission is free.

John is the editor of Crux specialising in coverage of the Vatican and the Catholic Church. He is the author of nine books on the Vatican and Catholic affairs, and is a popular speaker on Catholicism both in the United States and internationally.
